🌱 Introduction

Welcome to the Gadvikian Institute of Higher Learning’s Preschool Program — an Indigenous-centered early learning environment serving children ages 3–5. Our tribal preschool curriculum nurtures creativity, independence, identity, and foundational skills rooted in cultural truth and sovereignty.

  • Indigenous Songs, Movement & Cultural Dance
  • Spiritual Identity and Prayerfulness

  • Community & Family Role-Playing

🎓 Preschool Graduation & Records

Each child who completes our program is honored with a beautifully sealed Preschool Graduation Certificate, issued under the tribal education authority of the Lenape of Delaware – Gadvikian Tribe. Records are sealed, archived, and available for verification.

🧑‍🏫 Staff & Structure

  • Lead Teacher: Jessica R
  • Support Staff: Certified Tribal Caregivers
  • Student-to-teacher ratio: 6:1
  • Class Times: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 1 PM

📝 Enrollment

Enrollment is open year-round for tribal members and includes:

  • Application Form
  • Birth Record or Tribal Live Life Affidavit
  • Health Declaration (natural or tribal-approved)

🔒 Tribal Recognition

As a program governed under tribal jurisdiction, all preschool operations are recognized by the Lenape of Delaware – Gadvikian Tribe and are protected under:

  • 25 U.S.C. § 450 (Indian Self-Determination Act)
  • UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (Articles 14, 21)
  • U.S. Constitution: 1st and 10th Amendments
